Kia Sonet Sub-4 m SUV Appropriately to launch in India by August 2020

At Auto Expo 2020 in February, Kia Motors ‘ third proposal to India, the Sonet, made its debut in prototype form. On Indian roads the development spec was also spied testing. Although we realize it will be released in the second half of this year, there’s still a clear date to be announced.

The earlier declaration of the carmaker to update vehicles every six months, though, offers us an hint of the future launch date of the Sonet. Kia’s Indian offensive launched in August 2019 with the Seltos SUV preceded by the Carnival MPV launch in February 2020. Kia could launch the Sonet in India in August 2020 with this route, much as it did with the Seltos a year earlier.

This practically appears like a stripped down Seltos on the exterior, with parts like a tiny yet stronger variant of Kia’s signature tiger nose grille, combined with headlamps and swanky DRLs. It features an upright position and squared-out wheel arches which give it a look like a SUV. At the rear, the SUV gets tail lamps connected.

Interior spy shots show identical styling elements to the Seltos, such as the exterior configuration, the rotating display infotainment interface integrating into the instrument panel, and a steering wheel with 3 spokes.
