BMW introduced their flagship sedan, the Indian 8 Model. As a completely built model it is available in two variants: Gran Coupe (4-door) and M8 Coupe (2-door). Customers will pick, configure and book the 8 Series through the online selling portal recently introduced by BMW.
Although a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder petrol engine (340PS/500Nm) is offered for the 8 Series Gran Coupe, the M8 comes with a 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine with 600PS and 750Nm performance. Both engines come in a Steptronic Sport AT gearbox of 8-speeds. BMW provides three operating modes in the 8 Series: Easy, Sport, and Sport+. While the Gran Coupe is offered with a rear wheel drive drivetrain, all four wheels are powered by the 4.4-liter M8 engine.
The 8 Series has several curves on its frame, and creases. It features swept back headlamps with LEDs, trademark kidney grilles, and swept back tail lamps with LEDs. The M8 variant’s highlights include sportier bumpers, front fenders with M badging and M-branded brake callipers.
The 8 Series receives adaptive LED headlamps with LED DRLs and cornering lights, LED tail lamps, panoramic glass roof, double-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and up to 19-inch alloy wheels for features. It also gets a physical instrument cluster measuring 12.3 inches, and Apple CarPlay wireless. The protection measures include up to six airbags, auto-hold automatic parking brake, EBD ABS, stop cornering and electronic stability control. In addition, BMW also offers an array of 8 Series exterior and interior customization options.
