It could have been postponed by the shutdown but Nissan has now released information of the Kicks SUV’s revised BS6 edition. The main change is the latest 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine that replaces the diesel variant and is being sold alongside the 1.5-liter petrol engine. The new turbo-petrol engine with a output level of 156PS and 250Nm is the most efficient in category. A manual gearbox and a new automatic X-tronic CVT transmission alternative will be provided. The new engine also has idle start-stop features which make it more effective. In four models-XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium(O)-Nissan will continue to sell it.
Nissan has not received any design changes for the 2020 Kicks SUV. It continues to be a feature-laden package, and is fitted with a 360-degree video display, sleet-sensing wipers, four airbags, stability control, push-button engine start, auto LED headlamps and cornering front fog lamps. The 2020 model also comes with new tech which enables pre-cool functions for remote engine start and cabin. The Nissan Kicks will continue to deliver a luxurious leather-wrapped interior with a soft-touch dashboard and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the top-spec. Many cabin comforts include auto Ventilation, rear Air vents as well as a refrigerated glovebox.
The 2020 Kicks comes with six options for monotonous color and three external dual-tone options limited to the XV Premium (O) top-spec only. It seems that Nissan has scrapped the monotonous orange color variant for the 2020 model as well as the dual-tone variant in white and black. Nissan sells the BS6 Kicks as usual, with a 2-year/50,000 km guarantee that can be expanded for up to 5 years. It also comes with a two-year free roadside assistance program and Prepaid Repair Plans options. The 2020 Kicks pricing is scheduled to be revealed very early.
