In markets like Indonesia, the 2020 Toyota Innova facelift is going to be launched first. It has only taken the ASEAN NCAP crash assessments and cleared them for a 5-star safety ranking with a good enough score.
Safety Features
Dual front airbags, driver-knee airbag, ABS with EBD, front seat belts with pretension and force limiter, and basic electronic stability control are provided with the Innova. It gets seven airbags in the top model. However, safety assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking, lane assistance, and forward collision warning do not come with the Toyota MPV. Across all three categories, it also scored well enough: adult safety, child occupant safety and safety assists.
Whats changes in new Toyota Innova facelift?
The 2020 Innova receives a slight cosmetic redesign to its front fascia and small improvements elsewhere, as seen in its Indonesia-spec. A new touchscreen infotainment display and the inclusion of a built-in air purifier system were also seen.
While the powertrain options will remain unchanged, the India-spec facelift is scheduled to get the same upgrades. It is offered by Toyota with a choice of 2.7-liter petrol and 2.4-liter diesel engines, each with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic option.
