The current-gen Toyota Fortuner has been on sale in India since 2016 and thanks to a facelift, the full size SUV is big. Through these leaked photos we get our first undisguised glimpse at the upcoming Fortuner since being spied sporting camouflage through Thailand.
The Fortuner’s revised front end tends to put it up to speed with developments in industrial architecture. The latest front end has a narrower hood, a wider air dam and sharper headlamp screens with LEDs. This is also anticipated that the rear end would display slight aesthetic improvements which are yet to be seen. The leaked picture suggests only redesigned taillamps and a new rear bumper. It is also having fresh aluminum frames.
Information about the facelifted Fortuner’s interior remain undisclosed. A new touchscreen infotainment system that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is expected to receive upgraded upholstery and cabin layout. The global model is likely to provide several petrol and diesel engine choices, but it is anticipated that the India-spec facelift would stick to the current range of 2,7-liter petrol and 2,8-liter diesel engines compatible with BS6.
