The MG Gloster is already doing test runs out there

MG India began its service with the Hector followed by the all-electric ZS EV. Now the carmaker is preparing to update the game with the Gloster firmly targeting the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and the Mahindra Alturas G4. The Maxus D90-based SUV, which was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2020 in India, is scheduled to arrive in India by October 2020.

It is predicted the cabin will be identical to the Maxus D90. Some of the highlights are an all-black interior with silver accents and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

MG is expected to deliver a range of features such as a panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, cruise control, connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.

A 2.0-liter diesel engine is expected to fuel the MG Gloster well enough for 215PS and a huge twist of 480Nm. An 8-speed automatic gearbox can allow for transmission duties. The Maxus D90 is also sold in international markets with a 2.0-liter (224PS/360Nm) petrol engine.
