Tata Nexon XZ+(S) fitted with sunroof introduced at Rs 10.10 lakh

Silently Tata introduced a new XZ+(S) trim standard to the line-up of the Nexon. Prices for the latest version launch for the petrol manual at Rs 10.10 lakh and the diesel manual model at Rs 11.60 lakh. The automatics (XZA+(S)) are rated respectively from Rs 10.70 lakh, and Rs 12.20 lakh. The pricing makes the latest XZ+ (S) about Rs 60,000 more costly than the XZ+ trim standard but about Rs 30 000 more economical than the XZ(O) trim that is fully equipped.

The S has several significant extra capabilities over the XZ+, with the inclusion of an integrated sunroof, which was previously unique to the XZ(O) cover, being one of the most prominent. Other XZ(O) trim hardware, including the leather wrapped gear-knob and steering, tyre pressure sensor, auto headlamps and wipers, speed control and an Xpress cool feature for the climate control system, also find their way into the latest model. However, the company’s connected-car platform remains limited to the XZ(O) trims fully equipped.

Offered engine choices include a pair of 1,2-liter turbo-petrol and 1,5-liter diesel engines compatible with BS6, each equipped with a 6-speed manual or AMT gearbox option. Adding a sunroof to a lower model might offer the Nexon an extra boost in the market particularly considering the feature’s popularity among Indian buyers.
