With the close of 2019, Tata retailers are offering discounts on the current flagship SUV–the Hexa. This month, the Hexa may have discounts and benefits of up to Rs 2.3 lakh, depending on the model selected. Tata hopes to clear up the Hexa stocks with these discounts. Mechanically, the Hexa comes with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine in two tune states. The lower tuning is 150hp and 320Nm of torque, while the higher tune is 156hp and 400Nm of torque. In terms of gearbox choices, both a6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter are available.
Within, the compact SUV comes well-knitted as the top-spec XT versions have a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, leather seats, automatic headlights and wipers, a customized MID in the instrument cluster and a heated glove box, among other features. Tata Gravitas will succeed Hexa as the brand’s new flagship model by February 2020. The future seven-seater SUV, based on the Tata Harrier, will clash with the Mahindra XUV500 (the new-gen version is expected in mid-2020) as well as the six-seater MG Hector.
