MG ZS EV facelift launch on February 8, 2021

In the Indian market, the MG ZS EV is just one year old, but it will receive its first update very soon. The automaker has announced that on February 8, 2021, prices will be unveiled for the refreshed model. Although official information remain scarce, in a step similar to the update introduced for the Hector mid-size SUV earlier this year, MG expects to tweak the equipment and features list for the 2021 model year ZS EV.

In the architecture front, not much is likely to change. However, MG will improve the ZS EV’s equipment speeds, which are currently available in two variants: Excite and Exclusive. For now, security features such as six airbags, ABS, brake assist, ESC, hill start assist, hill descent control, electric parking brake, tyre pressure monitor, Isofix infant seat mounts, rear camera and parking sensors are standard, with heated wing mirrors in addition to the top-end trim.

The Excite earns halogen projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 17-inch alloys, an 8.0-inch Apple CarPlay/Android Auto touchscreen, cruise control and auto headlamps in terms of comfort characteristics. The list topping Exclusive trim is reserved for kits such as leatherette upholstery, driven driver seat, panoramic sunroof, a PM 2.5 air filter, auto wipers, power foldable wing mirrors and connected car tech.
