Mahindra Marazzo BS6 Will Be Pricer By More Than Rs 1 Lakh

It’s been a long time coming but the Marazzo is due to have its version of BS6 early. The new MPV is supposed to get to showroom floors early and a retailer associate has let us in on the revised MPV rates.

The model configuration for the Marazzo was rejigged with Mahindra replacing variants M4 and M6 with variants M4 + and M6 +. The top-spec M8 version will no longer be eligible although the standard M2 model remains a part of the range.

The base-spec version Marazzo M2 seems to have earned a price hike of Rs 1.01 lakh with the BS6 update. So is the price increase just representative of new features? Okay, we ‘re never received an formal assurance of the same.

Our distributor partner announced, though, that the M4 + version would have a Bluetooth music system and aluminum wheels, which was absent from the previous M4 model.

An RTO document showed that, following the BS6 updaye, the Marazzo’s 1.5-liter diesel engine only produces the same 121PS as before. And the Eco mode reduces the number to 100PS, as before.

There’s a gas pump on the Marazzo cards too. This will be a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine showcased at Auto Expo 2020. Churning out about 160pS is planned. The BS6 Marazzo is expected to appear the same as the BS4 variant as we assume that there would just be mechanical changes.
