All-New Renault Duster Turbo Launched In August 2020

The Renault Duster Turbo made the first global outing at this year’s Auto Expo event. Now Renault is expected to introduce the Duster’s most powerful variant in August 2020. The platform would have a much more sporty look and a brand new 1.3 liter turbocharged gasoline. A CVT auto will also be re-introduced into the Duster portfolio with the introduction of the Turbo model.

In terms of improvements, save for a few slight modifications it appears exactly the same as the regular Duster. It gets inserts in red on the front grille, fog lamp frame, and on the tailgate and roof rails on the Duster badging. It’ll also have 17-inch alloys revamped, a little greater than the current one.

Along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the Duster Turbo can come with new features such as pre-cool cabin via remote control, idle auto engine start-stop and a bigger 8-inch touch screen infotainment. In addition, the more efficient Duster variant can bring forward established equipment list including LED DRL projector headlamps, four speakers and two tweeters, and cruise control. Offered safety equipment would undoubtedly include dual front airbags, reverse parking system, and hill start assist.

The latest engine is good for 156PS and 254Nm, more than the stock Duster petrol, that is 50PS and 112Nm. It is much more efficient and torquier than the 1.5 liter diesel engine (110PS/245Nm) that was previously sold. The Duster Turbo is expected to come with a 6-speed MT and a 7-step CVT. On the other side, a 1.5-liter petrol engine (106PS/142Nm) matted to a 5-speed MT is provided to the standard Duster. This is the same engine recently launched with the Nissan Kicks.
