Lexus launched the LC 500h coupe recently in India. At the same event, the carmaker also announced the introduction of a new variant, the 300h Exquisite, into the NX 300h lineup. The Lexus SUV is now available in a total of three variants, with the introduction of the 300h Exquisite.
The NX 300h is now available under the hood with a 2.5-liter BS6-compliant petrol engine that produces 155PS of power and 210Nm of torque. Total power output goes up to 197PS when coupled with its electric motor. It is offered only with the option of automatic transmission.
The NX 300h comes with a range of features including a panoramic glass roof, a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, and a controlled tailgate. It also includes LED headlamps with auto-leveling function, wireless charging, ventilated front seats and 8-way adjustable front seats. It gets eight airbags on the safety front, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and hill start assist.
The Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Volvo XC60 in India continue to fight it out. Meanwhile Lexus has started manufacturing the ES 300h sedan in India and has also launched a more affordable sedan variant. The ES 300h now rates from Rs 51.9 lakh to Rs 56.95 lakh.
