Honda WR-V Facelift To Be Launched On July 2

If not for the coronavirus pandemic, we should have seen the WR-V BS6 at Honda’s dealerships, and now on the track. Honda Cars India has now confirmed that it will introduce the facelifted Jazz-based crossover on 2 July 2020. The crossover hatchback started entering dealerships in June though pre-launch reservations are now available for a nominal Rs 21,000.

It’ll be available in two variants: SV and VX. Honda offered two variants of the prefacelift WR-V: S and VX. The facelifted WR-V in the tail lamps gets headlamps with LED projectors, fog lamps, and LED components. Honda has tweaked a redesigned bumper and grille to the front fascia. Within, it features a new leatherette upholstery, and an infotainment touchscreen interface with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both of these additions are now becoming standard across variants. Established functions including the cruise control, the start-stop push button and the sunroof will be taken forward.

Honda will continue to sell the WR-V with the same engine range as before: a 1.2-liter petrol (90PS/110Nm) and a 1.5-litre, 100PS/200Nm diesel. The petrol engine will be sold with 5-speed MT while the diesel will be fitted with a 6-speed MT. Like previously, Honda will not be selling it with automatic gearbox.

It’s estimated that the WR-V BS6 would be priced between Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 11 lakh (ex showroom). Priced from Rs 8.15 lakh to Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the pre-facelift WR-V was.
