Honda WR-V BS6 To Launch Soon

Honda had first posted details of the forthcoming WR-V BS6 back in March 2020. The facelifted Jazz-based fusion has now started to hit dealerships, and new information have appeared as well.

The WR-V BS6 is offered by Honda in limited variants: SV and VX. It comes with both diesel and petrol generators. Honda accepts bookings for a Rs 21,000 token amount. Sources for dealerships reveal the top-spec variant might cost Rs 13.5 lakh (on-road).

With the same collection of engines, the WR-V BS6 will continue to be offered: a 1.2-liter petrol producing 90PS/110Nm and a 1.5-liter diesel producing 100PS/200Nm. Although the petrol engine is sold with a 5-speed manual and the diesel with a 6-speed MT, it is possible that the WR-V BS6 would lose out on an AT gearbox as before.

With the upgrade, the WR-V gets headlamps in the tail lamps for LED projectors, LED fog lamps and LED elements. It also gets a tweaked front bumper and a new front grille. Inside, a redesigned seat upholstery, a touchscreen infotainment system (probably connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), climate control, and a sunroof are seen. As regards safety, ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, and a reverse parking camera will continue to be offered.

With prices estimated to vary from Rs 8.50 lakh to Rs 11 lakh ( ex-showroom) the WR-V is scheduled to be released in the coming weeks.
