Hyundai India has announced the Verna facelift pricing for our region. The entry point to the Verna 2020 series is the 1.5 petrol-manual S edition, which costs Rs 9.31 lakh. The top-spec petrol version of the latest Verna is the Turbo-badged model, which is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh. Hyundai Verna diesel rates, meanwhile beginning at Rs 10.66 lakh and moving up to Rs 15.10 lakh for the top-spec diesel-automatic model.
The revised Verna will be offered in four trimmings and five engine-gearbox configurations, which will turn into a total of 11. The facelift has the mid-size sedan receive exterior upgrades, both inside and outside, as well as additional hardware and a line-up of new engines.
Inside, the mid-cycle redesign carries with it a redesigned front fascia consisting of a bigger grille and updated headlamps, along with modern-design alloy wheels, revamped tail-lamps and rear bumper. Although the cabin appears identical to the previous iteration, it was spruced up, with fake wood trimming on the dashboard, new-look AC vents and a modified upholstery color scheme.
In terms of engine choices, a combination of three BS6-compliant units-two petrol and one diesel-is provided to the facelifted Verna. The first of the two petrol engines is a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter model that is fantastic for torque at 115hp and 144Nm. As standard it is fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which also has a CVT option.
The second unit is the 1.0-liter Venue turbo-petrol engine which produces a torque of 120hp and 172Nm. This package comes as usual, equipped exclusively with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
