Mahindra released the XUV500 BS6 in silence with prices beginning from Rs 13.20 lakh. Not only can this upgrade introduce a cleaner SUV to the fore, it also replaces the automatic and AWD models. The XUV500 BS6 is down from 12 versions down to only four.
Up to Rs 32,000 the BS6-compliant XUV500 has been dearer than the BS4 vehicle. The 2.2-liter diesel engine is only coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and the automatic alternative is absent.
All that has stayed unchanged like the aesthetics, interior and apps. The equipment pool comprises projection headlamps with LED daytime running lights, sunroof, Apple CarPlay 7-inch touchscreen, Android Phone, tire pressure monitoring feature, 6-way driver seat flexible, tilt and telescopic steering, six airbags, stability control, EBD ABS, hill keep and downhill power.
The XUV500 is scheduled to achieve a shift of generation towards the end of this year or early 2021. It will be based on the design exhibited by Mahindra Funster at Auto Expo 2020.
