2020 Honda City Lower Variant’s Interior Spotted Ahead Of Launch

The Honda City 2020 project has been indefinitely delayed due to the current lockout. As there is no need to go into the official information, the internet is making do with leaked pictures of the sedan. The latest one shows information on the lower variant of the fifth-generation Area. In our opinion this could be the car’s base-spec model.

For the AC vents, steering wheel, and center console, the base-spec Honda City features an all-black dashboard style lined with polished aluminum accents. It gets a nice-looking steering wheel with built-in audio and Bluetooth telephony functions and two wide dials for the instrument cluster.

There is a 2-DIN unit with a rotary knob and a flurry of buttons underneath for audio. As can be seen from the pictures, this variant is also equipped with automatic climate control and the start / stop functionality of the push button. The center console contains cubby holes, a connector for gadgets, and a slot for USB charging. A recent leaked brochure revealed that a dual-tone cabin theme would be provided to the higher models.

This model is also fitted with a CVT box and is likely to be coupled with the diesel edition, although commonly used with a petrol engine as well. A pair of 1,5-liter BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines will drive the upcoming Honda Area.

As with the Honda City top-spec specs, it’s expected to be filled to the max. It will have LED headlamps, sunroof, lane watch camera, six airbags, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, linked automobile technology, Alexa remote control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a G-meter semi-digital instrument cluster.
