2020 Datsun Redi-GO Facelift Teased Ahead Of Launch

Datsun India has published an official preview of the Redi-GO hatchback facelifted version. It has been spotted undergoing tests so far, although in a completely camouflaged environment. This would be the first big facelift for the Redi-GO, introduced in 2016. The recent promotional pictures show just a little of the outline and a fresh blue hue in which the hatchback has ended up. However, the latest collection of sleek looking headlamps combined with elongated daytime running lamps are the most appealing part.

Compared with the previous iteration, the grille too seems to have gotten larger. Many highlights include a new external rearview mirror configuration (ORVM), front quarter panel Datsun badging, and an improved template for bigger wheels.

Although the teaser doesn’t even give a glimpse of what to do in the interior section, anticipate touchscreen infotainment from the competitor Alto 800 to function. Additionally, the dashboard style and upholstery may be subject to subtle tweaks. As for protective equipment, Datsun could even attach an airbag for the front seat.

The engines of 0.8 liters (54PS/72Nm) and 1.0 liters (68PS/91Nm) must feature major changes to reach the BS6 emission requirements. These engines are the same as the Renault Kwid and can be selected either with a 5-speed manual or an AMT.
