The 2021 Range Rover Velar Launched In India

In India, Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Velar for 2021. Only one trim level (R-Dynamic S) is offered, however it comes with a new diesel engine option. The petrol and diesel versions are respectively priced at Rs 79.87 lakh and Rs 80.71 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Both engines have a displacement of 2.0 litres. The turbo-petrol produces 250 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. The diesel, on the other hand, produces less power (204PS) but compensates with 430Nm of torque.

Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The petrol-only Range Rover Velar was previously priced at Rs 75.28 lakh. Land Rover is now providing a 360-degree camera, electronic air suspension, interior air ionisation with a PM2.5 filter, and a new Pivi Pro infotainment system for the Rs 4.59 lakh premium.

The newest infotainment technology comprises of two 10-inch touchscreens on the centre console, one below the other. The upper screen is for entertainment, while the lower screen is for climate management. Furthermore, these vehicles are AI-enabled and include smartphone connectivity capabilities like as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Aside from the new features, the Range Rover Velar retains standard features such as the premium Meridian sound system, four-zone climate control, leather upholstery, digital instrument cluster, Head-up display, 14-way adjustable front seats (with memory function for the driver), and 20-inch alloy wheels.
