The XL6, sold through its Nexa dealership chain, has been receiving a distant cousin on the Indonesian market who can seat an extra passenger. It’s named the XL7 (officially!) and gets slight changes in its measurements as well as an updated feature list compared to the India-spec XL6.
For the bigger 16-inch alloy wheels with slightly wider tyres, contrast black roof, rear spoiler and various badge spots on the tailgate, the XL7 is exactly the same in looks as the XL6. Bringing the two cars on the measurements table side by side should show a few subtler variations. The XL7 is 5 mm longer and 10 mm taller than the XL6 but in all other respects, it is similar.
Inside, the XL7 gets a slightly larger 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, IRVM with the camera back display and, of course, a second-row bench seat that gets a foldable armrest. If you fold up all two rows of seating, the XL7 also gets an edge in boot capacity.
