Postponed launch of Renault Triber turbo-petrol

The introduction of the Renault Triber turbo-petrol was postponed, with the latest model expected to arrive after the Kiger compact SUV launch in 2021. From a commercial viewpoint, Carmaker plans to put the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol as the Kiger engine. Triber turbo-petrol to be launched after the next compact SUV Kiger.

Engine Spec

Sourced from Alliance partner Nissan, the latest 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, codenamed HR10, is basically a three-cylinder derivative of the 1.3-litre, four-pot HR13 turbo-petrol unit used for the Duster and Nissan Kicks. The unit is expected to expand at about 95 hp and will also be used by the newly unveiled compact Nissan Magnite SUV. Alongside the Triber ‘s existing 72hp, 1.0-liter, naturally aspirated petrol engine, the latest unit will be sold.
