Next-gen Kia Carnival Hi-Limousine

The third-gen Kia Carnival entered the Indian market earlier in the year after the fourth-gen model was launched worldwide by the carmaker in August. Now, Kia has announced the most luxury version, the Hi-Limousine, of the upcoming Carnival MPV.

You can conveniently distinguish the Hi-Limousine version of the Kia Carnival by the extra bit on the top. Compared to the usual Carnival MPV, it looks like a roof-box attached on top, but it is literally built into the roofline to provide an additional 291 mm of headroom inside. Due to this configuration, it also includes a 21.5-inch rear entertainment screen mounted on the roof with HDMI and USB ports and mirroring of smart devices. An LED lamp with ambient lighting also features this higher roof.

A built-in air purifier that is mounted to the passenger seatback, heated and refrigerated cup holders, and privacy curtains for the rear passengers are other luxury features of the top-spec Carnival MPV. In the middle side, it has VIP lounge seats that get built-in foot rests while also providing a third row of seats. A panoramic touchscreen dashboard with two 12.3-inch displays, smart vehicle technology, multi-zone climate control, and a 360-degree surround-view camera also comes with the fourth-gen Carnival.

In Korea, Kia will initially sell the Carnival Hi-Limousine in 7-seater and 9-seater designs with an even more spacious 4-seater variant expected to launch later. The option of an all-black or beige interior will be given to this variant. Only the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, which makes 294PS and 355Nm, coupled to an automatic 8-speed shift-by-wire transmission, will be available at first.
