Since the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will receive a generation change and is not just a facelift, in line with the latest design language of the brand, it will come with refreshed exterior styling.
New features
Even the interiors will be revised for the upcoming Celerio. A new interface and even new features such as the SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system on higher variants are anticipated from the Celerio ‘s cabin.
Platform
The second-gen Celerio will also use the same Maruti Suzuki ‘Heartect’ platform as the current-gen Wagon R. Compared to the current-gen vehicle, we also expect the new Celerio to expand in size, with a longer wheelbase and a wider cabin.
Engine
Maruti Suzuki is scheduled to provide two engine choices for the new Celerio, just as it does with the Wagon R. We expect the new Celerio to also get the more powerful 83hp, 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine in addition to the 68hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. Both gearbox options, the 5-speed manual and the AMT automatic, are also likely to continue with the model.
