MG Motor India Launches Contactless Sales And Service

In view of the current pandemic, MG Motor India has unveiled its ‘MG Shield+’ system for both new and established customers. It focuses on contact-free technology, delivery by the doorstep and improved sanitation.

MG provides facilities such as VPHY (voice-guided demonstration), OTA (over-the-air) alerts, its MY MG app, and electronic booking and setup of a car under the contact-free platform. Speaking of VPHY, it is giving consumers a voice-guided presentation of vehicles. At showrooms, they can walk up to the cars and be directed by automated voice instructions. Customers will scan QR codes during product walkaround to provide voice-guided presentations of the function.

In addition, the carmaker can deliver OTA upgrades to the cars’ infotainment systems. Customers would be required to update the I infotainment device apps on their MG without leaving the service center. MG has also introduced its MGCare@Home initiative which allows customers to take advantage of many services such as sanitation, disinfection and home fumigation. Customers can also opt for car fumigation through MG’s MGerm Clean program, and in-car sterilization and disinfection with Cerafusion technology from Medklinn.

With health understandably being the primary concern of automotive manufactures around the globe, MG maintains the protection of both its consumers and staff by performing thermal screening, equipping workers with PPEs, and constantly sanitizing display cars and showrooms. It also provides auto pick-up and drop facilities for laboratory visits.
