Ford Endeavour Sport Variant

Ford is marketing the Endeavour as the Everest in international markets including Australia where it launched a late-2019 ‘Sport’ version of the SUV. Now in India this particular version has been spied on, indicating a likely launch soon.

The spied model is seen at the bottom of the rear doors, with the ‘Sport’ badge on the boot lid and a ‘Sport’ sticker. Although there is no front end spy shot, it could feature black-out elements in the front grille honeycomb-pattern, lower half of the bumper, and outside rearview mirror housings along with black-out alloy wheels as seen on the Australia-spec model. The spied model is also seen with what appears to be a thick black line connecting the SUV’s tail lamps (instead of chrome finish).

The cabin of the Sport variant could get a few cosmetic updates, like an all-black theme, to distinguish itself from the standard model. Besides that, with features like dual-zone climate control, driven front seats and, of course, the panoramic sunroof, the equipment list is likely to remain the same.

Ford is expected to offer the Sport variant with the 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel engine of the regular model, which puts out 170PS and 420Nm. This engine is coupled to a 10-speed automatic gearbox in India. The Sport variant might come with both 2WD and 4WD drivetrains but the one spied seems to be a 2WD model as it doesn’t have the 4WD badge at the back.
