The EcoSport, Ford’s sub-4 m SUV, has received a price hike of Rs 1,500. The increase refers to both the petrol and diesel versions of the SUV. The only one not affected by the price hike is the second-to-top Titanium diesel manual variant.
Petrol variants from Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh are now priced. The diesel models of Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 11.73 lakh have now been listed by Ford.
EcoSport Engine
A 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 122PS and 149Nm is available for the EcoSport. It comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AT with 6 speeds. The SUV is also sold by Ford with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that is good for 100PS and 215Nm, but is only fitted with a manual 5-speed transmission.
The sub-4 m SUV from Ford is part of a highly competitive market with the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, and Tata Nexon.
