KTM 390 Adventure R launched

The extreme off-road-focused 390 Adventure R, which costs Rs 3.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), has been quietly placed on KTM India’s website. Surprisingly, at this pricing, the 390 Adventure R easily undercuts the Rs 3.97 lakh regular 390 Adventure with spoked wheels.

It is the 390 Adventure version with the greatest emphasis on off-roading. The suspension and the wheels are two of the main distinctions between the ordinary 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure R. In contrast to the 200mm/205mm of travel on the standard 390 Adventure, the 390 Adventure R has the same configuration as the 390 Enduro R export-spec model, giving you 230mm of travel at both ends. The normal model has 21/17-inch wheels shod with tubeless Apollo Tramplr tires, while the R has a more off-road leaning 21/18-inch combo with tubed Mitas Enduro Trail tires.

These variations result in the 390 Adventure R’s relatively tall 870mm seat height and generous 272mm of ground clearance. The remainder of the bike, including the engine, bodywork, chassis, and features, is quite identical to the current generation 390 Adventure. With a 6-speed transmission and a bidirectional quickshifter, you have the same 399cc single-cylinder producing the same 46 horsepower and 39 Nm. Although the 390 Adventure R is only available in one white/orange colorway, the bodywork and frame are likewise essentially the same.
